Meet Executive Board Member Scott Marchbanks!

Originally from Greenville, SC, Scott has called Statesboro, GA home for the past 22 years. He earned a BA and Master’s degree from Clemson University and a Ph.D in Behavioral Psychology from The University of Georgia.

His career path includes tenure as a Professor at Georgia Southern University, a Federal Department of Justice program evaluator and private practice behavioral analyst. But in 2007 he started Frills by Scott and his true passion became his career. He has designed and created garments for Miss America – Betty Cantrell Maxwell, several Miss America State winners, as well as Vogue cover model and two-time Amazing Race contestant Kandice Pelletier. In 2022, Cosmopolitan magazine named the gown he designed for Miss Georgia, Alyssa Beasley, as one of the ten most iconic gowns ever to be worn on the Miss America stage.

He now travels extensively to China as a designer for two prom and pageant lines carried throughout the United States and abroad while continuing his own design business at Frills by Scott.
